Description
A hearty, simple baked beans recipe with ground beef. Packed with flavor and ready in under an hour.
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
2 cans (15 oz) baked beans
1 medium onion, diced
1/2 cup BBQ sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp yellow mustard
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp tomato paste
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. In a large skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
2. Add diced onion, sauté until soft.
3. Stir in tomato paste, mustard, Worcestershire, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
4. Add baked beans and BBQ sauce. Stir to combine.
5. Simmer for 10–15 minutes uncovered.
6. Transfer to a baking dish and bake at 375°F for 20 minutes.
7. Serve hot with cornbread or slaw.
Notes
Use lean ground beef to reduce excess grease.
Add diced bell peppers or jalapeños for a spicy twist.
Cheddar cheese on top before baking is optional but delicious.
