Description
Crispy taco shells meet melted cheese and seasoned meat in this easy, family-approved pizza tacos recipe. A fusion dish that’s fast, flavorful, and fun to customize.
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef (or shredded chicken)
1 packet taco seasoning
1/4 cup water
8 small taco shells or tortillas
1/2 cup pizza sauce or red enchilada sauce
1 cup shredded cheese (Mexican blend or mozzarella)
Optional: black beans, corn, sliced olives, diced tomatoes, lettuce, sour cream
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Brown ground beef in skillet over medium heat. Drain fat.
3. Add taco seasoning and water, simmer until thick.
4. Lay taco shells or tortillas on baking sheet.
5. Spoon meat mixture into each shell.
6. Top with pizza sauce and shredded cheese.
7. Add any toppings you like.
8. Bake for 6–8 minutes or until cheese is bubbly.
9. Top with lettuce, sour cream, or fresh tomatoes if desired.
Notes
Swap beef for black beans or lentils for a vegetarian version.
Use gluten-free tortillas if needed.
For a Taco Bell-style version, layer refried beans and crisped tortillas.
